Overview
The 8-Hour Fall Prevention course provides comprehensive training on identifying, evaluating, and preventing fall hazards in construction. Developed to meet NYC Local Law 196 of 2017 (LL196) requirements, this program supplements federal OSHA standards with additional New York City–specific fall protection regulations.
Each year, falls remain one of the leading causes of serious injuries and fatalities in construction. The SST 8 Hour Fall Prevention Course Online is designed to reduce those risks by strengthening hazard recognition skills, improving fall protection decision-making, and reinforcing safe work practices.
This course is approved by the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) to satisfy Site Safety Training (SST) requirements.
