In New York City, license renewal requires completion of the 7-Hour Master Plumber and Master Fire Suppression Piping Contractor Renewal Course. To renew a Master Plumber or Master Fire Suppression Piping Contractor license, applicants must complete 7 hours of continuing education and provide a certificate of completion to the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) Licensing Unit, as mandated by Title 1 of the Rules of the City of New York §104-06.
