
Overview
The 32-Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor Course prepares experienced workers, safety managers, and superintendents to supervise suspended scaffold operations in New York City. Also known as the 32-hour suspended rigging foreman course, this training focuses on regulatory compliance, hazard prevention, and supervisory responsibilities for suspended scaffold projects.
Participants will review NYC Construction Codes and OSHA regulations related to suspended scaffolding. The course covers scaffold standards, reading scaffold drawings, verifying the qualifications of a rigging crew, training workers on potential hazards, and responding effectively to emergencies.
This 32-Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor Training ensures supervisors understand their legal responsibilities and how to maintain safe suspended scaffold operations on active construction sites.
NYC Training Requirement
Under Section 3314.4.5.3 of the 2014 NYC Construction Code, the 32 Hour Suspended Scaffold Supervisor course is required by the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) to supervise suspended scaffold projects within New York City.
Completion of this course satisfies DOB requirements for supervising suspended scaffolding operations.
