Course Overview
The 8 Hour Suspended Scaffold User Refresher is a targeted safety training course designed to refresh the knowledge and skills of workers using suspended scaffolds in New York City. This refresher ensures compliance with 2014 NYC Construction Codes, Part 3314.4.4.5.4, which requires individuals to renew their 16-Hour Suspended Scaffold User Certification every four years.
Workers may renew their 8-Hour or 16-Hour Suspended Scaffold User card within one year of its expiration by completing this course. If the refresher is not completed within one year of card expiration, participants become ineligible for this class and must retake the full initial training.
The course reinforces safety practices for inspecting, assembling, and dismantling suspended scaffold equipment and emphasizes proper fall protection while performing work at heights.
